In pursuance of the vision of CHARUSAT to emerge as a World Class University, Pri. B I Patel Human Resource Development Center (HRDC) has been established. It was inaugurated on April 14, 2011, in the august presence of Prof. Dinesh Awasty, Director, EDI as the Chief Guest and Mr Dangayach, MD, Sintex Plastics as the Guest of Honour.
As a tribute to veteran educationist Late Shri B. I. Patel who was also Vice President of Kelavani Mandal, the Centre carries his name.
Pri. B. I. Patel Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC), since inception, has endeavoured towards dedicated efforts in developing the Teaching Faculty, the Non-Teaching Staff and the Students of the University at large through multi-dimensional Training Modules by Resource Persons from various walks of life having experience and expertise including resource persons from within University.
To evolve as a Centre for Human Excellence through Knowledge and Skill Development.
To undertake the responsibility of shaping individuals into fine examples of human personalities by providing opportunities of development and expression of human potential.
Human Resource Development Centre works towards identifying the unrealized potential of each individual so that it could be manifested in totality.
Act as an effective disseminator of the vision, mission, goals and objectives of the university, i.e. dissemination of university academic requirements and policy to the faculty.

HRDC conducts need-based, role-specific, and outcome-oriented training programs through planned identification of development requirements, program design, delivery, and review for continuous improvement.
The Academic Year 2024-25 at HRDC, CHARUSAT, was marked by a strong commitment to nurturing people, enhancing skills, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development across the CHARUSAT Family.
The AY 2024-25 featured a balanced mix of training initiatives for teaching, non-teaching, and support staff, along with student-focused programs. Key efforts included leadership development through a dedicated retreat, creativity and innovation sessions, and technology-oriented programs introducing emerging domains like quantum computing and AI-driven research.
Experiential learning remained a highlight, with outbound training programs encouraging teamwork, collaboration, and personal growth. Alongside professional development, HRDC also emphasized well-being and social awareness through sessions on empathy, healthcare awareness, and workplace effectiveness.
Focused capacity-building initiatives supported administrative, non-teaching, and support staff in enhancing their skills and contributions.
