Devang Patel Institute of Advance Technology and Research (DEPSTAR) is a constituent of CHARUSAT. The institute is managed through a think tank of technocrats, administrators, scientists and engineers, educationalists, businessmen, stakeholders and other well-wishers from all parts of the world. DEPSTAR is patronized by IPCO Industries, headed by Philanthropist and Industrialist Shri Devang Patel. The institute envisions being a forerunner in teaching and research in advanced technologies. For this, in years to come, it will be an institute with advanced infrastructure, distinguished faculty, networking with global institutes and implementing most modern processes. DEPSTAR has total intake of 300 Seats with Computer Engineering (120 seats), Computer Science & Engineering (120 seats) and Information Technology (60 seats). The average experience of faculties is more than 6 years in Teaching, Industry and Research Domain.
In the next decade for all the educational institutions, the spotlight will be on competition. The changing roles of the educationalists and the educational institutes are also going to play a major impact. Great brands are driven by purpose…and that is reflected in the vision document. Product is what comes out of the institution (our aim is to produce quality products). Stakeholders-Institution Relationship is also very important. To keep in mind stakeholders’ interest and to make the future of the CHARUSAT brand bright, more efforts are required to be put in because it is very hard to regain in stakeholders’ mind.
We are spending more time on and with the students and training them. Students must have specific skill sets in terms of ability to connect their talent with the outside world. In the era of employment-oriented education, focus should be on actual job placement and the number of students going for masters’ programs (post-graduation).
