Ph. D. Programme at CHARUSAT
CHARUSAT
has launched the Ph. D. programme from January 2010 for conducting
research in frontier areas of Engineering, Pharmacy and Applied
Sciences.
Ph. D. Research Topics include:
- Nanoscience
- Protein Biochemistry
- Clinical Biochemistry
- Targeted Drug Delivery
- Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology
- Optical Communication
- Electromagnetics and Antenna Design
- Mathematics
- Condensed Matter Physics
- Solar Energy Devices
- Satellite and Wireless Communication
- Solid State Electronics.
Advantage CHARUSAT
The
university provides a vibrant research environment supported by highly
qualified faculty members, excellent infrastructure and state-of-art
facilities. The campus is wi-fi with high-speed internet. The library
has over 30,000 books, journals, and access to about 400 ejournals.
Ph.
D. students of CHARUSAT will have the opportunity to familiarize
themselves with different disciplines and also interact with faculties
from various fields. Interdisciplinary research will be encouraged.
Students can also take part in on-going research projects sponsored by
national agencies.
Eligibility
Students will be eligible for the Ph. D. programme only if the following criteria are satisfied:
(a) A post-graduate (Masters) degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA and
(b)
Has qualified in GATE / CSIR – UGC JRF / NET / SLET or equivalent exams
of similar level or CHARUSAT Doctoral Entrance Test (CDET)
Admission Procedure
Selection will be based on an interview conducted by CHARUSAT.
Course Structure
1. The complete research programme will be years for Part-time students.
2. The maximum period allowed for students
3. A student has to undertake at least two minimum 10 credits). This course work including First Semester. Only after successful completion registration for Ph.D. will be confirmed.
Residential requirements
A
Full-time student has to stay and work in the university Campus during
the duration of the Ph. D. programme. A Part-time Student has to stay
in the campus for additional two semesters after the course work.
However, this residential period can be spread over the duration of the
Ph. D. programme.
Course Fees
Rs. 50,000 per year for the duration of programme
Financial Assistance
On-campus Teaching Assistantship will be available to meritorious students.
